Words Through Walls

Letters written to and fro
Words I can not let you know
Dissolving aching into snow
And sprinkling them below
To the places deepest in my being
To let them out would be so freeing
Hopes that maybe one day there'd be seeing
But without speed there'll soon be leaving

I'm eaten alive by the walls of my mind
I'm struggling inside just to keep me alive
And I want nothing more
Than deconstruct the fortress
That keeps my soul away
And leaves me always in distress

One day there'll be no more loneliness
And one day I'll make sure that we have rest
For the weary soul
I will take a hold
Of what's needed
And it all will end
