Literature Text

I felt the sandstorm batter and wear on my tattered skin
Wore a mask to protect my face and to hold it within
But a mask is all I wore, leaving myself out in the open
Naked against the painful winds like a billion insects stinging
And while my body is slowly sanded down to the bone
The mask yet covers my face so to the world it will never be known
How much anguish fills my expression when no one is around
That feeling has dug myself deeper down a hole far beneath the ground

And maybe if I took it off
And showed the entire earth
Of my pains and fears
And sorrows and what they're worth
And maybe if I were who I am
And if I were telling the truth
Then maybe, just maybe
I could really live for You
Impromptu writing out of boredom. Just started with thinking about a song stuck in my head and a line made me think of it and then I just went from there |D

Make of it what you will.

Sandstorm by Darude? Oh, no, that's more my style. x'D

Regardless I like it a lot, but I hope you're not actually this sad :'c I can understand the feeling of wearing a mask, even if I'm usually a pretty open person. It's tough to put on a happy face all the time... :I
