How did I write such a sorry page of porous letters
Letting it soak up, sponge-like, your worse and better

I bled ink when I accidentally cut my own hand
Black splotches spilled across the parchment
Billowing out words and phrases I can't understand
Bellowing out words and phrases I never meant

Envelopes from afar
Filled with get well cards
I think I'll read them eventually
When I stop finding it so hard
